Vavr is not just the core. Vavr has a whole ecosystem and one of the components have not been receiving much love lately: https://github.com/vavr-io/vavr-jackson
If you want to contribute, but have no clue where to start, I'd focus on it first since it's been rotting for a while. Core vavr has received some love recently, and it's time for other crucial components to get some as well!

Thank you @pivovarit, I'm grateful that you are revitalizing Vavr again. Can I help with the version/1.x branch of vavr-jackson? I am specifically interested in commit 27c4007, but I don't know what needs to be done to get it out there.
The version/1.x branch represents the next major release and is now in 'pre-alpha' state - so if you want to get something out in finite time, version/0.x is the way to go. I hope to release that as soon as possible.
So if this particular commit is relevant for 0.x, you need to pretty much recreate it and issue a new PR against version/0.x. Remember to reference the original commit
