First meeting was held on Wednesday 25th with myself, Anna Syme (GA team - Genome Lab lead), Tiff Nelson (BioCommons - Community Manager) and Keeva Connolly (ARGA).

A number of opportunities were identified that are synergistic between AU and EU:

Final confirmation of latest VGP pipelines running on GA, on real data (@AnnaSyme )

Use of workflow reports for TSI community workflows (HiFiASM and associated QCs) to drive adoption of workflow reports as a logical start point for result interpretation (@AnnaSyme )

Exploration of public availability of Ensembl annotation pipelines, can these be replicated in Galaxy (@AnnaSyme @bgruening)

User based testing of GA deployment of Fgenesh++ (@tiffmnelson)

New direction for support - eDNA. Tiff brought back from ICG conference a big attendee interest in eDNA - tools but in particular reference datasets. This has links to BioSecurity also (Gareth has notes on this).
We should scope with EU to find out if this interest and capacity to do extends beyond AU (@bgruening )

Action - meet again from 1st August to better document each of these points
