Build on MacOS w/ ARM

Hi,
the build fails for me on my M1 MacBook Pro (macOS Sonoma) and its ARM CPU as the project assumes that the build runs on a x86 system. What would I need to change to make things work? Sorry if that's a noob question, I am still pretty new to C++ and CMake 😅
