Format external SD card still failing

Describe the bug

I have the latest (41?) Bazzite on the Steam Deck and I've come across multiple users with the same weird issues.

One is the internal drive is shown as "this needs formatting" but the more serious one is that it won't format from inside Bazzite.

What did you expect to happen?

Press Y, the drive formats and we're off.

In fact, the drive is formatted to BTRFS correctly but (and this is where it gets weird) if i don't change the label to "mmcblk0p1" - (which I've done following a suggestion on Reddit) it says the drive needs to be formatted.

I've fixed this using a PC running Debian 12 - but this is quite a fiddly job and probably beyond many users if they don't have at least some knowledge of Linux.

I can't access this on my PC and I don't have access to desktop mode to use Github. If there is any other way I can help, I'll be happy to. I'm just not a regular gamer, just an occasional user. I heard Bazzite was superior so I figured I'd give it a go.

I can't get the desktop edition to work either but that's a separate but entirely.

sdcards are automounted by SteamOS udev rule 1:1 with SteamOS.
sometimes this seem to interfere when trying to unmount the sdcard to format it.

known visual bug, no idea whats causing it in the steam black box, ignore it
