Data Migration Tool failing on Settings #37

Hello,

I'm dealing with the connection issue and on Nexcess hosting.
I've tried the IP of the host, and name as well as localhost but all with the same error...

Couldn't connected to Magento 1 database: Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: )Also, attached the screenshot.

I am migrating data from Magento 1.7.2 to Magento 2.1.2

Please help!

Hi Cis-shalini,

The script on Github is our old version which we no longer maintain.  

We have replaced it with a newer version - UB Data Migration Pro. A few notes about the difference of our Pro version for your reference: 

• Ongoing updates and bug fixes and fully compatible with latest Magento 2.1.4
• Code base is completely revamped for better performance, especially for large scale database
• Support new features like Delta migration, Command-Line interface etc.,

We did use the Pro version ourself to help Winetasting.com – Migrate 382,047 customer entities to Magento 2. 
And this case study as well - Freelaunch.nl used UB Data Migration Pro to migrate 230,000 products to Magento 2.

Ok but if i work on the local server then connection has established and i am able to migrates every thing like stores, categories and product.
The problem is only when i am using this tool on website which is hosted on nexcess not on the local server...so can it be related with the script(doesn't support the magento 2.1 versions) or it's just the database access issue. Please let me know...

Hi Cis-shalini,

The script here at Github was outdated, and not maintained for long, especially for new Magento releases. So unexpected issues are beyond our control.
We are sorry for not being of much help in this case.
