[Bug]: Plex only finding 2-3 files out of library, metadata not refreshing properly #82
Comments
Ok. Starting to heavily think this is actually a plex issue. Cleared everything out of tube archivist and plex can't read the folder structure at all, even without the agent being used. Let me dig in on that first. edit: Plex can read/play all files as "other video" - it only can't sort with TV Series being the setting. |
Further troubleshooting: |
For the Windows plugin installation, I noticed that you didn't use the suggested location but installed in the Resources folder. Check the File Server Locations and then double-check the locations for the Scanner Installation and Agent Installation instructions. This would probably be the cause because of where the Scanner and Agent expect to be located initially. This methodology removes the requirement to have to use the X-Plex-Token, but it doesn't have as many rights to the Plex Media Server Location. |
So fascinating thing there - I tried the locations listed, and it couldn't find them at all. I suspect now that you mention it that you may be right, as this server has gone through a few iterations (and ran into a few Plex bugs that required manually editing the SQLlite database) and things may not be anywhere near defaults now. EG: I don't have a plug-ins directory, but only the one with the partial UUID on it, and putting it in Plug-ins also did not show up. I shall, however, retry. |
Plex doesn't like a lot of files I feel like. I have a music library with a little over 300k songs that makes plex go crazy when it's scanning. |
I've read the documentation.
Operating System
Plex on Windows, Tube Archivist on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Your Bug Report
Describe the bug
Only 2 files (out of 7 in directory and 18 total) showing in Plex, no details loading.
Tube Archivist installed on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04), sharing download directory via SMB to Plex Server (Windows 10). Installed Plex Plugin to C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\Plug-ins-836b34c27\TubeArchivist-Agent.bundle and the scanner to C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server\Scanners\Series. Downloaded latest python file to fix urllib problem.
JSON file:
{
"ta_url": "http://pc-tube.mydomain.cloud:8000",
"ta_api_key": "KEY"
}
Add library to plex, set Scanner to "Plex Series Scanner" and Agent to TubeArchivist Agent. Match API key and URL for Tube Archivist, save, scan / refresh.
Plex imports 2 files from the share and stops, never gets farther. Error in agent log:

Steps To Reproduce
See above
Expected behavior
Not 100% positive if this is a plex issue or an agent issue, given the above error. Tried with and without port configs. Currently testing some plex configurations without the agent to see if this is a plex issue, but since we're not importing the name at all either or other details from the archivist config, not sure what's up here.
