Learn about Pangeo deployments

We need to learn about how to deploy Pangeo to the cloud. There are a few decent resources, but nothing comprehensive at this stage. Let's start by doing the following:

• read this thread and all associated links
• read this thread and associated links
• try deploying Pangeo to your own GCS space
• discuss your progress in this thread

So I've been playing around on GCS a bit and now I've installed the SDK to develop locally. I can't seem to get the initialization working though after running the bat script and running the command in the normal and staging directories. Any ideas on what's going on?

UPDATE: Please ignore; the issue was the installation went into a different part of my local directory than expected and I needed to manually add the path to system variables.
