Pangeo is a cloud-based platform for doing big-data Earth science. Our initial goal is to get Pangeo deployed on Azure. So the first thing for us to do is try to understand what Pangeo is, and how it works.

To get started:

  • read this post and watch the embedded video
  • examine the code that makes Pangeo work
