Per: https://play.google.com/console/u/0/developers/5198333960364165962/app/4976370155202966323/user-feedback/review-details?reviewId=gp%3AAOqpTOE1aZfH9JoRHTGk3MN_FScfqOhRAzu2dYwFsUno6pNagci4L6o6SrQjx2fBhZhX3LOOStDTrTAkhjhGBks&corpus=PUBLIC_REVIEWS

So far I'm unable to reproduce the bug. I tried:

  1. start a new game
  2. select an empty cell with long press (cell turns yellow)
  3. enter pencil marks via the virtual keyboard
  4. short press on the same cell (cell turns red)
  5. enter any solution
  6. entry does override the notes.

@timo-a, I suspect what the reviewer really meant, is that the "Auto adjust notices" feature doesn't work anymore since the rewrite.

So after making sure the option is selected in preferences, in your test substitute:

  1. in another field in the same row, column, or block, enter one of the numbers from the notices.

Expected behaviour: That entered number disappears from the notices.
Actual behaviour: The notices do not change.

I see, thanks for the hint. Can you reproduce this? Because I can not (with version 2.0.4):

Interesting...
I could reproduce it with 2.0.4 until this morning - in an unfinished game, that I had started more than a month ago.
Now I started some fresh ones, and in those the problem is gone.
That must have been some weirdness in how a previous version stored the games.

But apart from unfinished legacy games, the issue seems fixed, and can probably be closed.
