PHP 8.4 has been officially released on 21 November, since v5 is still not ready it would be good to have the images released on v4 for the time being accordingly to what's been done for the 8.3 release last year (#375)

It might make sense to wait until oerdnj/deb.sury.org#2176 is resolved, as getting PHP 8.4 to work with all extensions still seems to be a work-in-progress (but almost ready at this point), but otherwise I would be in favor of a 8.4-version in the near future too.

EDIT: The upstream packages for 8.4 are now officially complete, so hopefully the pending pull request can soon be merged!
