Feature allowing redirecting on found items not working

I have installed the 301Redirects version 1.9 into Sitecore 10.4 and everything works except when redirecting on found items. I followed the readme as best I could (links don't work!). But I found this which pointed me in a direction: 99419af

Added the item to Redirects folder field Items Which Always Process Redirects and used a Redirect Pattern, but no joy.

The only difference in my set up is that the Redirect Module & Redirects folder were moved to a Global Settings folder under content. Config was updated to accommodate this.

Have got to apologize for not having more specific advice as it’s been 12 years since I personally used Sitecore or Windows, but just trying to suggest things that might help unblock you.

So, that advice might be outdated because the prefix in the docs was written in 2012. Do you know if that is a possible cause?

And secondly do you know if the processing is occurring after that move? Any evidence in logs?

Thanks Chris, I managed to resolve my issue by downloading the source and debugging. it turns out I was a) using a redirect pattern when I should have been using a redirect url and b) was putting the Items Which Always Process Redirects in the Redirects folder’s field, when they should go in the root Redirect Module’s field. I think fixing the links in the readme might help. Thanks again, James.
