Pre-2021 Model S/X question

Hi guys!

I have a 2017 model S with MCU2 AP3 and I want to get telemetry data from the stream.
Why can't we do that?
I saw that there was talk about it at the beginning of the year, that it might be possible this year, is there any information about this yet? We are run out of the rate limit pretty quickly.
