I can't understand the difference between these two:
doc.name
: "will be used to name output files"tectonic/docs/src/ref/tectonic-toml.md
Lines 34 to 39 in 41168a9
output.name
: "a name given to output", "in the build directory, in a subdirectory with this name"tectonic/docs/src/ref/tectonic-toml.md
Lines 58 to 62 in 41168a9
Additional context not super-related to above:
As i want the project to remain compatible with the pdflatex too, my main file name i.e.
output.index
will be set todocument_topic_name_year.tex
the_preamble.tex
and_postamble.tex
will remain blank.Remains is how to set the output directory, and name of the output pdf document to match this main file name (again, similar behaviour as with pdflatex invoked via texstudio)
tectonic -V: Tectonic 0.14.1
