I am leading the implementation of a variant of the auto_url_summary function from cassis-labs.php into the Python IndieWeb Utils library. You can follow the progress in the auto_url_summary PR on the indieweb-utils repository.

As discussed in IndieWeb Chat, the CASSIS version of this function may warrant consideration to be promoted from the labs into the main library.
