PhotoDemon is more powerful than Paint.NET, so I chose PhotoDemon. I also use Krita, but Krita is too complicated for beginners, so when teaching introductory image processing, I choose PhotoDemon. Please don’t let its functions become Too complex, but improves various basic functions. As a result, amateurs do not need to upgrade to Krita after completing the introductory stage.
Two basic feature requests:

  1. Drawing basic geometric shapes, such as rectangles, circles, and polygons, is too troublesome to draw with masks.
  2. Layer alignment and distribution: Align and distribute based on non-transparent parts, such as Corel PHOTO-PAINT
