Sorry for being offtopic, but does anyone know it it's possible to patch the BIOS to bypass this issue?
More info: Dell power adapters have a 3rd pin. This is sometime broken or adapter is broken, or in the worst case (mine), something on motherboard breaks. BIOS then shows the adapter as "Unknown" despite it being original working adapter and refuses to charge the battery. XPS works on AC, but battery eventually drains and never recharges.
