This is a Sinatra webapp that you can use to test Stripe's example push provisioning apps.
This is intended for example purposes--it is not a production-ready implementation.
In your .env file or other host-specific environment configuration, set STRIPE_SECRET_KEY to your secret key.
Find this at https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys (it'll look like sk_live_****).
Then set CARDHOLDER_ID, which you can find at https://dashboard.stripe.com/issuing/cardholders (it'll look like ich_...).
Then, set SAMPLE_PP_BACKEND_URL in the example iOS/Android app to your backend URL (it'll be in the format https://push-provisioning-samples.onrender.com).

You will need a Stripe account in order to run the sample backend. Once you set up your account and completed the steps to get access to use digital wallets with Issuing, go to the Stripe developer dashboard to find your API keys and cardholder ID.
From the server/ruby directory, copy the hidden .env.example file into a file named .env to configure the sample backend:
cp .env.example .env
Fill in .env with your configuration:

First install rbenv if you don't have it.
You can check with rbenv -v.
Then use rbenv to install a modern version of ruby without changing your system ruby:
rbenv install 3.3.4
Then, from the server/ruby directory:
gem install bundler
if this errors because of an old ruby version, try appending the -v flag specified in the error message, for example:
gem install bundler -v 2.4.22
and finally install the gem dependencies:
bundle install
bundle exec ruby server.rb
