In preparation for the Phylotree aspect of the Hardwoods Gene Atlas project, Abdullah, Noah, and I have noticed that Juglans regia's gene feature names do not match the gene names in my Resolved Gene Trees. This is because the current gene features are associated with an earlier assembly (1.0) of the genome, not the most recent assembly (2.0). These genes will need to be removed, along with other organisms with out-of-date gene features that will need to be updated.
Genomes
Juglans nigra - Has genes associated with a transcriptome, and genes associated with a genome. Remove features associated with the transcriptome.
Juglans regia - Currently has genes associated with 1.0, we will be loading assembly 2.0 at a later date, so the existing features will need to be removed.
Fraxinus pennsylvanica - Delete both transcriptome and genome features, load Assembly v 1.2 annotation.
Quercus lobata - We tried to remove the features from the 1.0 annotation, but they still appear in the elastic search. Clicking them brings up an "Access Denied" page.
