Maybe even write it into the start script. Right now there's a 3-4 second lag when the game starts before any units spawn, which is annoying.

upon reflection, the best way to do this is probably to stick the data into the startscript somewhere. even if the data were to be cached in SPADS, you still have quite a bit of round-trip time (spring --> AH --> spring takes a while with an ocean in the way).
