Hi, I'm a Redux maintainer. My goal is to teach people how to use Redux and React effectively, and improve the Redux family of libraries (Redux, React-Redux, Redux Toolkit, Reselect) to help our users build better apps.
My work covers every facet of maintaining these libraries:
- Responding to issues and questions across many platforms (Github, Reddit, Twitter, Stack Overflow, HN)
- Providing vision and ideas for future improvements
- Adding new features and fixing bugs
- Improving TypeScript types
- and writing lots of documentation
Some of the things I've worked on are:
- Writing the "Redux Essentials" and "Redux Fundamentals" tutorials for the Redux core docs
- Creating our official Redux Toolkit package to simplify common Redux usage patterns
- Designing and implementing React-Redux v7 to enable improved UI performance, and React-Redux v8 for compatibility with React 18
- Writing dozens of blog posts about proper React and Redux usage patterns
- Multiple presentations about React and Redux topics
- And answering thousands of questions about React and Redux pretty much anywhere there is a comment box on the internet :)
I do all this because I enjoy working on Redux, I like helping people, and I have a deep sense of obligation to help our users.
This sponsorship is available as an option if people would like to express their appreciation for my work. I already have a full-time job, and I'm not trying to switch to full-time sponsored maintainership. (I like having the freedom to work on what I want to, when I want to, because I feel like it, rather than feeling pressured to work on certain things because there's money involved.) There's plenty of worthy causes out there that need donations more than I do. But, I have had folks specifically ask for ways to donate as thanks, so here you go :)
