👶  I was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1980
📺  With 13 years I got a C64 and that changed my life.
I soon realized that writing own little (shitty) games was more fun than playing existing ones. But I was always looking for more impact.
📼  So I (literally) screwed my datassette (yes, kids, we used to save files with a tape recorder on a unhandy piece of plastic that took hours(!) to load or save the maximum of about 150 kilobytes)

Datasette

🚥  Anyways, I opened up on of these and connected it to the lights of my nursery. Impact!
👫  But soon my siblings were fed up to play the guinea pigs for my awesome (= horrible) light shows and self-made games.

🌐  The internet becoming a thing a few years later was a revelation.
🎁  And especially Adobe Flash (back then it was Macromedia Flash still) was a present sent from heaven and really stimulated my creativity. And – in spite of all its issues – I still miss a tool with the same unique combination of coding, vector-animation & interactivity.

⏩  Fast forward, 20 years later a lot has happened. I bet on countless tools and "best practices" most of which are deprecated today.
💪  But the strive to enable developers (including myself) to have an impact and to create great solutions has not let up.

💁 ...and this is where you come into play. Your support will allow me to spend more time on otherwise unpaid open source work. And any kind of appreciation will certainly increase my motivation to finish and publish some of the countless pending side projects I'm working on, for example:

🔧  A platform to quick-start and test event-sourced projects
📦  A general-purpose content repository for arbitrary content structures
📝  A visual designer for data structures (for example to be used as NodeType creator in Neos CMS

@bwaidelich

It's not realistic to expect to get this many sponsors of course. But if I do, I'll let every sponsor vote on a number of great Neos CMS features. I'll take care of implementing that feature (in the Neos core or as a separate package) and will publicly dedicate it to all of my sponsors! Disclaimer: Of course I can't promise that features will be accepted by my fellow team members, but I'll fight for them! :)
