Hi I'm Brittan!

I am a DevOps Architect with a heavy background in Infrastructure. Infrastructure as Code and configuration management was my entry point into Open Source and programming. Since diving in to programming I have found automation of infrastructure to be where I love to contribute. I hold both professional level AWS certifications and am passionate about leveraging terraform for all things AWS.

I recently was nominated as a HashiCrop Core Contributor for my contributions to both the terraform-provider-aws and terraform core.

Supporting me on GitHub helps me continue to provide new features, improvements, and fix bugs in projects that I work on

Here is what I currently am focusing on:

  • Working on the terraform-provider-aws to implement new resources, fix bugs, and implement new features.
  • I have been a long time fan of AWS Lightsail. I continue to implement new resources for this AWS service. Prior to my contributions, the AWS provider was lacking on AWS Lightsail resources significantly. Chances are if you are leveraging terraform for AWS Lightsail, I wrote that resource.
  • I recently created and am working on an open source command line tool that is intended to provide comparable checks to the full AWS Trusted Advisor checks (especially the ones behind the support pay wall). The long term goal for this tool will be to eventually provide these checks for multiple cloud providers.
