The location where default values are set will need to change to a separate file, to support maintainability.

A minimal API for storage and options handling should be created as well, to prevent confusion and disorder in the markup and scripting.

The rewrite, in the master branch (non-default) will have this fixed. I'm rewriting the whole way that options are set and fetched from the interface.
