Haven't found any other discussion on this:

I am running this extension as from scripts inside a docker container.

The installer recognizes sphinxcontrib vs for example sphinx-contrib but doesn't recognize sphinx.httpdomain.

i got it. needed to include sphinxcontrib-httpdomain in pipenv and then use sphinxcontrib.httpdomain in the extensions.

i figured this pattern out by looking at other sphinxcontrib repositories
