How do I make a value mandatory?

I want to make a value mandatory, so if a value / key isn't set, I'd like it to blow up.

Is there a way to do this presently? I'm going to just write a helper which wraps Get* and will blow up if the value doesn't exist. Wondering if it's there somewhere and I'm missing it?
