Common Install Issues

Currently, we are seeing a number of installation failures with two common themes:-

1. Folks with older installations of Octoprint are trying to install the plugin on systems running Python 2. Please revisit the Setup Section of the Readme which confirms the need for Python 3 and contains a link to help you perform the necessary upgrade.

2. Wiring can be an issue. Some of the cheap fly leads (mainly from China) are manufactured down to a price rather than up to a standard. Faulty wiring can create all sorts of intermittent problems,

   Additionally, be careful with the routing of your wiring. Cable runs can act like aerials picking up all sorts of electrical rubbish causing havoc with the Pi. If all else fails please check out this discussion and ASK, we will try and help! 😎
