Rootex license is in the LICENSE file, however, our thirdparty licenses are mentioned below.

Rootex's assets (assets which are used for testing in Rootex development environments and may be finally distributed) are covered in ASSETS.md.

Tip: There are some non-standard licenses but all these are non-viral and do not stop Rootex games from being exported and distributed. However you should share this document in any Rootex game exports.

All external/thirdparty code is fetched into the rootex/vendor/ folder and compiled and linked with the main Rootex library. Any modifications in their source code is documented below.

For details on dependencies of dependencies, look into the library folder in rootex/vendor/.

Note: "Build step modified" phrase used below means that the library source's configurable build process and settings (made available by the library authors) was used by creating a separate CMakeLists.txt file (which belongs to the Rootex project) but resides in the corresponding library folder in rootex/vendor/. No library source code modifications were made in this process, unless specified.

Note: "Source weeded and restructured" phrase used below means that the library sources were not modified in any way unless specified, however the file structure was changed to suit the building process and unneccessary files which did not participate in the build process were removed e.g. unit tests, documentation, sample config files, etc.

Library license files were renamed to LICENSE (unless not already named as such) to facilitate easy display of those licenses inside the Rootex editor and any projects which base themselves over Rootex.

glslang

Here, glslang proper means core GLSL parsing, HLSL parsing, and SPIR-V code generation. Glslang proper requires use of a number of licenses, one that covers preprocessing and others that covers non-preprocessing.

Bison was removed long ago. You can build glslang from the source grammar, using tools of your choice, without using bison or any bison files.

Other parts, outside of glslang proper, include:

gl_types.h, only needed for OpenGL-like reflection, and can be left out of a parse and codegen project. See it for its license.
update_glslang_sources.py, which is not part of the project proper and does not need to be used.
