protocol-kit with web3js v4.x

Hello. @germartinez, I am analyzing to use gnosis safe, but I have some questions, so I would like to inquire.
i have two questions to safe team.

1. When is the expected time when a version of protocol-kit web3Adapter compatible with web3js v4.x will be released?
2. Is it possible to interact with a safe-contract deployed on a private besu network using only protocol-kit without api-kit?
