Under Lightroom’s File → Plug-in Extras menu, MIDI2LR has several options:

  • General options: opens the MIDI2LR general options dialog.
  • Develop Preset: opens the MIDI2LR develop presets dialog.
  • Keywords: opens the keywords assignment dialog.
  • Start application: starts the MIDI2LR app if it is not already running.
  • Close application: stops the MIDI2LR app.
  • Import configuration: replaces currently-set options for the plugin with the options as set in the selected file. Note that Develop Presets and Library Filters are identified by Lightroom-assigned IDs. Custom-made presets and filters may not have the same IDs on different machines, so make sure to review presets and filters assignments if moving an options file from one computer to another.
  • Export configuration: exports all the plugin settings to a text file. This is useful for copying settings to another computer. Note that the plugin normally stores its settings inside Lightroom, not in a separate file, so this file is not needed for normal MIDI2LR use.
  • Online help: opens the MIDI2LR wiki in your browser.
  • Build files (development use only): only use this option if you are instructed to do so. This regenerates some files for the plugin.
