e.g.,

  • when vcr is recording a new cassette
  • when vcr is recording new interactions to an existing cassette
  • when vcr is re-using an existing cassette
  • etc.

Nobody has wanted more verbosity, so probably close soonish unless someone speaks up about wanting more verbosity
