Works for me on Archlinux on modern Gnome Shell 3.38.1; seems that Pop!_OS 20.10 ships the same version as well.
It would be helpful if you attach the error message. You can search it by Random_Walls@Antares string in journalctl /usr/bin/gnome-shell --since today. Or at least press Alt+F2, type lg , find the extension in the extensions tab, click Show errors on it, screen the error message, and post it here.

Upd. I confused the extension with another one. This one does not work indeed.

I see it's in the extension drop-down in the tray I can click on Settings Cog and update the settings but when I try to enable it I do see the button moving but when I click Extension again I see I do not see it's enabled.

Screenshot from 2020-11-21 20-20-43 I click the enable option it moves and vanishes. When I again click on the @ I still see it's disabled.

This is due to breaking changes that came about in Gnome 3.38. Should be fixed now (just tested on a clean installation)
