Crash entering EMMI zone from arbitrary enky room #362
Comments
In the main Randovania window, select Open -> Previously Generated Games to open a folder with all your rdvgame files. Yours should be in there. |
Incredible! Had no idea that was a feature. Thanks! Permalink: |
Can you drop the game version (1.0.0/2.1.0) for the version on your switch and the dumped files you're using? |
Also is it possible to back up the save before starting a new run over it? I can't quite remember how to do it on atmosphere and am out of town, but I'd definitely like to tinker with it when I'm back home. |
2.1.0 on the console and from my dumped romfs. And here's the save I pulled using JKSV |
Not entirely sure what, if anything, I did to get here. I started off in Artaria, ended up going via the Artaria Thermal Device elevator to Ghavoran Early Supers, dead end, came back. I used the energy recharge next to where the enky would spawn, then entered the EMMI zone. Black screen and sound effects like it's loading for about 5-10 seconds, then crashes.
My save prior was before entering Ghavoran, so when I reloaded, I went directly to the Nav station (just to the right) and saved there. Entering directly through the lower EMMI door in the Enky room crashes, even when skipping the recharge, so I don't think that's related.
From the save file I have, reproducing the crash is as easy as running to the right directly into the EMMI zone through the lower door. Going through the upper door is completely fine. Interestingly, entering the Enky room, going back to the Nav room, then again in though the Enky room into the lower EMMI zone door is fine. Weird that it is so easily reproducible, but somehow so easily resolved. My best guess for the suspect would be something running when this room and/or the EMMI zone get loaded the first time, but I'm not sure how to test that further.
That said, the save is not very useful without a permalink... I swear I had Randovania generate the spoiler files, but I can't find them on my switch after directly transferring via FTP :/ Is there something I'm missing with that?
I do have a copy of the entire mod folder, but I'm not sure how much is okay to share since it (presumably) contains patched game resources. I figure that, by design, it's not possible to get the permalink or equivalent info from these files to avoid spoilers during a race, but if there's something I don't know, then I'm all ears :)
