Setup environment:

  • Ruby version: ruby 3.3.2
  • Rails version: 7.1.3
  • Webpacker version: 6.0.0.rc.6

Expected behavior:

running bundle exec rails webpacker:install with no error

Actual behavior:

running command raises the following error:

bin/rails aborted!
NoMethodError: undefined method `exists?' for class Dir (NoMethodError)

@fitchMitch a workaround that worked for me was to open the /webpacker-6.0.0.rc.6/lib/install/template.rb and replace the 2 instances of .exists? with .exist?
