It appears that the trusty template contains a hard-coded document root at https://github.com/rackspace-cookbooks/rackspace_apache_php/blob/master/templates/default/php-handler.conf.erb#L10.

This is forcing all PHP to run inside /var/www/html. I created some sites like so, and ran into this:

  • /var/www/example1.com
  • /var/www/example2.com
    etc.

We should probably expose the path at a minimum, or figure out a better way to enable other docroots.
