Add more colors to highlights, as this helps reciters to recall the Ayahs with specific colors #641
Comments
We alikom elsalam, I don't think managing more colors will be easy from both development point of view and from user perspective. Maybe you can describe your use case and I can help see if there's a planned feature that could address it? |
SA mohamed, Sorry for my late answer, I was in some vacations and busy somehow, May I ask why or how? My use case is only to have a multicolor feature for highlights or colors that are similar to each other (like what we have in some apps e.g. paint or photoshop) - maybe even for the current colors in the App - if its doable indeed. So these colors will be a bit similar or somehow a variant from the same color so one could have at the end of the day have a mus7af which will look similar to the screenshot below: |
Hi @mohamede1945 Any reply ? |
We alikom elsalam, I'm still not sure I understand the use case? Is the use case here to have different themes? |
Nope @mohamede1945 , more colors or 1 or 2 degrees of these colors, as simple as that. At the end, this will provide highlighting the Ayas with color degrees, which is helpful and beneficial for memorizing… Why it's needed? The screenshot I sent is just an example of the use case, so this feature will make it so easy for the user while reading to differentiate between different topics and themes of the Quran, and helps in memorization. I hope this answers your question and sorry if my words were not that clear. |
Jazak Allah Khyrn for the explanation. I think I understand, you’d like to have 10 preset colors in the app instead of the current 5. The current 5 colors are inspired by the Apple books app. But I think we can revisit this decision and align it with the website too since we are going to align all 3 different apps (Web, Android and iOS) on the same set of capabilities, inshaa'Allah. |
Small feature request
Al SalmuAlikum, Is there are any possibility to add more colors to highlights, (other than the default 5 colors on the app) as it helps the readers more to recall the Ayahs with specific colors?
