Summary

If you go to https://figgy.princeton.edu/catalog/cfe3da84-b69f-48e2-9694-cb332adbe808 or https://figgy.princeton.edu/catalog/fa7e22b8-152a-4cc6-ac83-439f10523a3a and try to navigate to the second recording, it doesn't work.

Impact

Message from AnnaLee:

Well, I just checked the rest of the collection for which I sent you that second example a few minutes ago. Looks like the entire collection suffers from the same problem. All of the cassettes are listed in that multi-volume work style structure, but only the files for the very first cassette are accessible through the viewer, no matter which other cassette you click on in the thumbnail view.
The original instance I shared with you was because of a patron reference inquiry. We were trying to give the patron Virtual Reading Room access and they discovered they couldn't hear the audio files for the second cassette listed.
I will check one other collection that I know has many audio files and get back to you, but this does seem to be a widespread problem.

Priority recommendation

  • asap
  • within the next 3 weeks
  • PO will prioritize

Sudden Priority Justification

Required if "asap" or "within the next 3 weeks" is checked. Add "Sudden Priority" and "Maintenance/Research" labels

Expected behaviour

Clicking the second recording should navigate to it.

Actual behaviour

The link clicks and nothing changes.

Steps to reproduce behaviour

If you go to https://figgy.princeton.edu/catalog/cfe3da84-b69f-48e2-9694-cb332adbe808 or https://figgy.princeton.edu/catalog/fa7e22b8-152a-4cc6-ac83-439f10523a3a and try to navigate to the second recording, it doesn't work.

They have a workaround - it's not ideal, but we can wait a few weeks to handle this.
