I'm not seeing this happen on any systems in our lab. Can you describe your hardware a bit? Also, if you boot to the recovery partition (or to a 22.04 live disk) does opening the same programs cause the same crash?

For what it's worth, I'm experiencing the same thing. Upgraded to 22.04, can't open settings (getting kicked back to the login screen). Pop shop opens as per usual.

I'm on a Thelio.

Here's my syslog of the last boot in case it helps (seems like a gdm / gnome issue):
syslog_gdm_gnome_crash.txt

(I've now done a reinstall which "fixed" the issue)
