Are there any plans to port this add-on to the current version of Anki?

I've got a working version over at zjosua/anki-hierarchical-tags.

It's submitted as a PR (#9), but Patrice doesn't seem to be active on github anymore.

Patrice doesn't seem active on anything any more. His last twitter is from Oct. 2018. Maybe we should assume, that something happened to him.
