Check out how Pilas engine (similar project) does it:

Regrettably Pilas went with QT so it's not easy to integrate with XO.

Interactive mode would make it really nice to show concepts and get instant feedback.

I added a simple experimental interactive shell to the hangman and it's showing a lot of promise!

I've updated a prototype of a new activity:

It's an interactive authoring tool!
Note it requires gvim currently.

Awesome!!! I really need to sit down and play with this. An interactive mode would be amazing...
