Add option to show values in fullscreen #17

I have to admit that I am not entirely sure if and how we would implement this. It is simple enough to add to phyphox and I immediately see why you would like to use it. The only problem I see is that I am not entirely sure if this is the best long-term solution. I could imagine that for this specific purpose it would also make sense to have some kind of gauge to visualize the data more intuitively while still being easily visible from afar. Gauges and similar are rather far down on our todo list at the moment, but we try to avoid unnecessary changes to the user interface to not confuse students. So, I would like to implementing the long-term solution right away - instead of tapping on the value and enlarging it, I think that having some options including gauges would be nice - but that would be a bigger task and would need to move up on the todo list first. For now, I will add it to the todo list as well for consideration and also bump up the gauges by a few items. |
Tapping the graph enables pinching to enlarge... so why not tap the text frame? As for gauges, the seven segment display would be semiuseful (a squiggely needle gauge just came to mind, just like the graph except it disappears at the centre instead of the left side, customise needle width). As for not confusing students, making text big extemporaneously is needed, else I could suggest adding display method into custom experiment (particularly since it only allows GPS graph, gives no figures for velocity at all). |
Tapping on a value in the "simple" view should enlarge it to fullscreen.
This would create the possibility of using a phone as a sensor with a screen in the front of a class.
