Timestamps are a kind of link to a specific position in a video, format "00:00", which currently will only be displayed as plain text and cannot be clicked.

Can confirm this.
But this is only in video description. Comments work fine.

Actually this issue is wrongly open, timestamps have been addressed in d9f5f1b. That would mean it broke?

Reason this is a problem in the first place is that the description is translated by default and thus replaced with the original, which is only in text, comments are of course not.

I don't really know, but I can confirm it doesn't work.
I don't know if it's been resolved, not, or whatever, but I know it's not working.
