Use an old router (with USB connector on it) running OpenWRT and connect it via Wifi to your network as a client. This is what I have done in my setup. |

i picked up the waveshare rail mount converter off amazon but still cant get it to connect, https://www.waveshare.com/rs485-to-wifi-eth.htm under server settings the 10.10 ip is locked, i think these are the right settings but i cant get it to ring back on modpoll with its 192 ip |

my solark is about 60 feet away from my HA Pie in my office, have your tested any wifi enabled modbus units. I tired a waveshare rs483 to eth unit bridged to a old apple airport express eth port and was unable to get it to connect with the modbus test. I found out after on the website it says it wont support modbus.
