Retire zopen-config ?

Today, for the nth time this month I had to help someone with using zigi who also had zopen installed. Seems the issue is that each user/site had . /zopen/etc/zopen-config in their /etc/profile or in the users $HOME/.profile which works just fine from TSO OMVS or via the shell however it does not work fine from bpxwunix.

bpxwunix supports a login option as the 5th parameter and that does login to the environment and seems to get the environment variables of the shell but it does not process the zopen-config.

I have my own tool that captured the environment prior to the zopen-config and then compared that to the environment after zopen-config generating a file with the environment variables that I can then use with zigi - Henri Kuiper has this gist which also works: to generate an environment file for use by zigi.

What would be better would be if the zopen install and zopen upgrade/update would create a file that can be added to the end of the /etc/profileor $HOME/.profile and bypass the dynamic zopen-config.

It would also be nice if the zopen install/update/upgrade/remove were to notify the installer if the flat file changes as 99% of the time there would be no need to recopy it to the profile.
