Dear NHS England Github Users,

A few key steps are required to support the ongoing usage of this organisation level github. Please could I ask you to:

• Activate 2 factor authentication as soon as possible. This has been asked for multiple times but still many members and external collaborators have it disabled. I will be turning the mandatory requirement for 2 factor authentication on in early June 2023.

• All members should be associated with the everyone Team - Please check that this is the case. In the future private repositories will only be able to be seen by the team associated to them (compared to now where any member can see any private repo). The everyone team can be used to allow all other members access to a private repo.

• All members should be associated with at least one other team and know who the maintainer of the team is. The maintainer acts as the intermediary between the members and the admins as it is impossible to know all the members and their current work. This means that the maintainers can request members to be added or removed from teams or the organisation. The maintainers also set the ways of working and templates to be used by each team.
