List does not support multiple selection

Can list support multiple selection in search mode, similar to tag?

Thanks for the note — right now lists are flat, and don't allow for deeper categorization/tagging/organization. Do you have an example of what you're trying to organize/tag, and how that would be helpful compared to making a separate list?
