The actions/cache by default scopes the cache to the key and branch within the repository that the action runs. This means that caches are not shared across different repositories or across different branches within the same repository unless they match the exact key and branch. |

One thing that I wish dependency caching through actions/cache supported was organization level sharing. If multiple repositories need an identical cache, being able to share it with any repository in the same organization could result in needing less storage overall, and a higher cache hit rate.
