Cannot take photo of my student ID

Hi everyone,

I simply cannot take a picture a of my student ID. My laptop camera is simply too poor quality to take a decent enough picture of my ID. I tried to go on my phone next, and while I do have the option to change the camera, nothing actually changes and it keeps showing the front face camera feed which is just as trash as my laptop camera in terms of quality and 10x harder to even dream about fitting the ID in frame. Even if I did fit the everything in there, the front camera simply cannot take a clear enough picture. I don't have access to another device. There is no option for select a picture from my files. I've got no idea what to do now.

I usually picture it from my cellphone then trasfer it on my computer so i have better quality!

There is no such option. I have to take a photo in real time. And browser uses only front camera, rear camera doesn't work when you change the camera in dropdown menu

But you can use your phone just like @MindfulLearner said, or here is another option that I use.
If you have email, then you can click a picture on your phone and send it to yourself via email. Open up email on your computer, and KABOOM! Download the photo.

Actually there is no other way to solve this problem. Github follows strict rules on approving education program.
In your case, please find another device to work on. Try cyber-cafe, friends' or neighbor's pc. Can't think of other alternatives... sorry.

There is a problem. I see the selection of two cameras. rear and front. Front working fine but rear doesn't. I just cannot focus on my student ID! So I got rejected. Is there any different way to upload my docs?

I suggest you take a look at your student ID, type it out on the computer, and then edit it or anything else.

You can try to buy a new camera with better quality or borrow one from a friend and then take a picture. Perhaps?
