Nope, but to avail github education, you must be atleast 13. so you can take that as a minimum age requirement if you're planning to apply through github education.

@yuis-ice Try logging out and logging back in with a cleared cache. It may be trying to attach an old discount to your account instead of the current one.

Hi @xOryus - The certification registration system may be trying to give you the old discount. Try logging out, clearing your cache and going to a new browser to log in and register. It's worked for others who were previously seeing the $49 fee still popping up. If that doesn't work the Certifications team should be able to reset or reauthenticate your account if you open a support ticket.

I downloaded the secure test software, answered all 75 questions, When I reach the final section and press end section. I got the error
TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'total')
I thought waiting till the timer expires would work but it just seems like they nullified my test and I can't retake it. I tried contacting support. If anyone here is a github staff and could assist me that would be amazing

actually not sure if anyone else encountered the same problem as me, i couldn't even enter the main test, because it kept showing nvidia container is prohibited.... there were various methods on how to tackle this online, but overall i just uninstalled nvidia geforce experience entirely.... so i completed the exam with no issue at all

I had the exact same TypeError yesterday when trying to submit the 2nd stage. After raising a GitHub Support ticket my badge was awarded a few hours later, so definitely raise a ticket if you haven't already! They were able to use my existing answers.

I am facing an issue while registering for GHF. I had previously tried registering and entered my details when there was a bug, and the exam fee was displayed as 49 USD. Now, I am getting the error:

Candidate cannot be registered as an open registration record already exists for this candidate.

@VaibhavKatariya Try opening a incognito Chrome window, logging into GitHub there and going through the flow. If you're still seeing the $49, you may have to submit a ticket for the Certifications team to reset your access depending on the situation.

Congratulations on passing the exam! I’m a new developer just starting my journey, and I recently saw the announcement about the free GitHub Foundation certificate. I’m planning to study for it and take the exam soon.

Before I dive into studying, I was wondering if you could share any tips or pointers to help me prepare. Anything I should focus on or be aware of before starting the study process?

@Bl0u sorry for the late reply i was busy this past few days. But for tips this are the things i can give mostly

• Keep on practicing using github like creating branches and creating PR
• Try to study more on Github Actions its just like Jira if you've used this in your project management
• Most of the question i answer is more on version control and branches PR
• Focus on Github Collaboration like this and Isuses and security
• There's also a bit of Github Copilot and codespaces in the questions

That's all i remember but in the future i will make my own video on how i pass on it.

IT WORKED! Previously it showed no vouchers. Now it does.

Steps:

1. Open an Incognito Window on your browser. (It's better to clear browser cache data beforehand)
2. Sign into your GitHub account.
3. Go to the exam booking page. (You will see that a voucher has been applied to your exam fee)
