Ah I think I've resolved this! In my case I needed to open up PyCharm (not from Gateway but just from the JetBrains toolbox) on my client (my windows 11 machine). On the welcome page, click on plugins and make sure that GitHub Copilot is up to date here. For some reason, despite the client plugin through Gateway being up-to-date, it was not up-to-date here. Updated here and then restarted any gateway project (and invalidated caches) resolved my issue |

I cannot get this to work in Codespace edited via RubyMine 2024.1.7 via Gateway 2024.1.2, tried all suggestions. Please see attached log excerpt for relevant errors. |

Hello,
I am running JetBrains Gateway to run PyCharm 2024.2.1
Where my Windows 11 Machine is the client OS and Ubuntu 24.04 is the host OS.
The GitHub Copilot version I am running is 1.5.22.6765
When trying to autocomplete through GitHub copilot, I am finding that my IDE just prints a literal 'tab' instead (see below).
As discussed in https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/118314 I have tried disabling Copilot from the Host Plugins and only using Copilot from the Client plugins, and restarting the IDE and invalidating caches.
I have also tried disabling the JetBrains 'Full Line Code Completion' plugin on the host side.
Copilot was working fine for me up until last week so I'm not sure what has happened. Has anyone else come across this issue recently?
Alexis
