Will languages offer official extensions, so that copilot has up to date documentation on the language? |

Will it be possible to create extension that run the code check weather it compiles (or better compiles and pass test) and if not return the copilot with the prompt to correct the error? |

Extensions seems very intuitive and great for using copilot more across workflows. Integrations such as with Teams make it easy for me to keep focus on my stuff. |

Is there a plan to make Copilot Extensions available within the Copilot Jetbrains Plugin in the near future? ✌️ |

There is an Issue with the Perplexity Extension. When I try to connect, It says "This GitHub App must be configured with a callback URL", so I can not use it. |

Is it possible to create an extension that can support review code in the PR phase, which can review code, do basic checks, such as spelling errors, in-depth grammar and language feature checks, API compatibility, code bugs, etc., and give some programming suggestions? Submit the results of the review as comments to the PR session. |

If extensions are free, it'd be good to not ask for a payment method, feels like it may become a bait and switch if the extension ends up costing something later (and cost would be good to see in the marketplace, especially personal vs org) Separately, it's unclear what "installing into your personal account" versus org means, especially in the context of who owns the copilot account. In addition it'd be good to allow an install of a marketplace copilot extension org-wide (eg ticketing system and use an org API key rather than each user authenticating). |

GitHub Copilot Extensions is now in Limited Public Beta. With extensions, you can now extend the capabilities of GitHub Copilot Chat and enhance the experience to perform a wide range of actions across third-party tools, services, and data. Create feature flags, check log errors, access API documentation, and even deploy your application to the cloud all through natural language.
Currently, access to Copilot Extensions is limited to a small set of users and we are planning to gradually roll out larger-scale access as we learn more & gather feedback. To learn more about Copilot Extensions and how to use them, check out the documentation and the GitHub Marketplace.
If you're looking to build a GitHub Copilot Extension, there are several ways. Join the Copilot Partner Program to explore opportunities to bring your developer tools and services into the GitHub Copilot ecosystem and have extensions light up across all supported clients (VS Code, Visual Studio, and Github.com). If you're looking to build a VS Code extension specifically, documentation is available here.
